All it takes is a DM giving additional XP or treasure for taking in foes in alive and suddenly your whole party is full of saps with saps.

I rather like dual wielding saps as a rogue. Nonlethal force means the organs keep longer, and I can find a good buyer more readily.

Because little Timmy can't stay on that waiting list forever.

There's actually a 1st lv necromancy spell that preserves organs/corpses in prestine condition for 24 hours, One time our gnome freaked me out by having 5 of his 6 1st lv slots filled with that spell on a day we happened to kill 3 dragons.

Pristine. You meant pristine condition.
Preserve Organ just keeps it in whatever state it was in prior to casting, though, so while you could keep a freshly excised heart beating indefinitely with repeated castings, it'd be up to the DM whether or not it's invulnerable to being simply destroyed. Still a funny spell to abuse.
