Story time today is about facepalm moments.
I'll start.
I am an - as yet unpublished - author by trade, and sometimes, one of the things I do to amuse myself is try and build D&D characters who resemble the characters I write about. Not to play, you understand, but just as a fun thing to do.
Sometimes, however, I need stats to go higher then I have reference materials for, and so I would wind up spending forever working out that the mod for 30 is 10, or that the mod for 100 is 45, BY COUNTING TO GET THERE.
…Yeah, that is pretty boring. But on the bright side, I'll never have to do it again!
I sense some bad experiences with d20. There are enough systems for everyone, but I like them all so far.
I wonder when armor's max DEX bonus will come up.
